Our Doctor
Dr. Shelley Hooven Hoffman
Dr. Shelley Hooven Hoffman has practiced companion animal medicine since earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1997. She studied acupuncture with The International Veterinary Acupunture Society (IVAS) as well as Chinese Herbal Medicine with The College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT) in Australia. Dr. Shelley founded A Whisker's Wish, PLLC in April of 2024, and she has devoted this chapter of her career to strengthening the human "animal" bond by providing senior pets and their family comfortable, quality living together until final rest is needed. And, when the time of Euthanasia arises, she is committed to bringing peace and dignity to those final bittersweet moments.
